Newport Brushstrokes Fine Art – 30-Day Return Policy

This Return Policy applies to purchases made through www.newportbrushstrokes.com (“NBFA,” “we,” “us,” “our”).
1) 30-Day Return Window
You may request a return within 30 days of delivery (as shown by the carrier’s tracking). Return requests made after 30 days may not be accepted.
2) Eligible Items
Returns are accepted for:

Original artworks (oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media)
-
Limited editions and prints
-
Framed or unframed works, subject to the conditions below
3) Condition Requirements
To qualify, the artwork must be returned:

In the same condition as received
-
Undamaged, unaltered, and uninstalled (no new holes, hardware changes, trimming, stretching changes, or cleaning attempts)

With all original packaging, certificates of authenticity (COA), documentation, and any included accessories
-
Properly packed to prevent transit damage (see Section 7)
If an item is returned with damage or signs of use/alteration, we may refuse the return or apply a deduction to the refund to reflect loss in value.
4) Non-Returnable Items
The following are final sale and not eligible for return, except where required by law:

Custom commissions or personalized works

Custom framing services (frame/mat/glass ordered or built specifically for you)

Items marked “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable” at checkout

Gift cards and store credit (unless required by law)
5) If Your Artwork Arrives Damaged
Please inspect your delivery immediately.
If your artwork arrives damaged, you must:

Notify us within 48 hours of delivery
-
Provide photos/video of:
-
the outer box (all sides),
-
the inner packaging, and
-
the damage to the artwork/frame
-
-
Keep all packaging for carrier inspection
We will work with you to resolve it promptly by repair, replacement (when possible), or refund, depending on the artwork and severity of damage.
6) Refunds and Fees
If your return is approved, refunds are handled as follows:
Refund amount:

Purchase price of the artwork minus any applicable deductions described below
Non-refundable costs (unless the return is due to our error or damage in transit):

Original shipping fees, white-glove delivery fees, installation fees, and customs/duties/taxes

Payment processing/finance charges (if applicable)
Restocking / handling (if applicable):

We may apply a restocking fee of up to [10–20]% for large items, special handling, or returns missing original packaging.
7) Return Shipping & Packaging Requirements
Unless the return is due to our error or transit damage, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.
All returns must:

Use a tracked and insured shipping method for the full value of the artwork

Be packed to carrier standards (double boxing recommended for framed works)

Use the original packaging whenever possible
Important: If an item is damaged in return transit due to inadequate packing or lack of insurance, the refund may be denied or reduced.
8) How to Start a Return

If approved, we will send you:

Returns sent without authorization may be refused.
9) Refund Timing
Once received, returns are inspected within [3–7] business days.
If approved, refunds are issued to the original payment method. Your bank may take [3–10] business days to post the credit after processing.
10) Exchanges
Because many artworks are one-of-a-kind, we cannot guarantee exchanges. If you would like to exchange, contact us and we’ll do our best to offer:

An exchange for another artwork (subject to availability), or
-
Store credit (if preferred)
11) International Orders
For international deliveries:

Customs duties/taxes are non-refundable in most cases
-
International return shipping, brokerage, and insurance are the customer’s responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or the error is ours
12) Chargebacks and Disputes
We’re here to help. Please contact us first so we can resolve issues quickly. Chargebacks filed before contacting us may delay resolution and can affect eligibility for future purchases.
