Frequently Asked Questions

What does Newport Brushstrokes Fine Art sell?

Our catalogue may include original paintings, oils on canvas, signed prints, giclées, limited editions, commissioned works, and other collectible art. Availability changes as works are sold or new consignments and artist relationships are added.

Are the artworks authentic?

We describe works using the information and documentation available to us. Where applicable, a listing may include a certificate of authenticity, edition information, signatures, provenance, invoices, or other supporting material. Buyers should review the specific documentation offered with each work.

Does every work include a certificate of authenticity?

No. Certificates depend on the artist, publisher, edition, source, and history of the work. The product description or written offer should state what documentation is included.

Can I request more photographs or information?

Yes. Contact us with the title or artist and tell us what you need. Depending on availability, we may provide additional photographs, measurements, framing details, condition information, or documentation.

Are prices negotiable?

Some owners or artists may consider a serious offer, while other prices are firm. We will present reasonable offers where we are authorized to do so, without guaranteeing acceptance.

Do you guarantee that art will increase in value?

No. Art can have aesthetic, emotional, cultural, decorative, and financial value, but future demand and resale price cannot be guaranteed. Buyers making an investment-dependent decision should seek independent financial, tax, valuation, and legal advice.

Can Newport Brushstrokes sell my artwork?

We consider selected works based on quality, authenticity, condition, documentation, ownership, marketability, price expectations, and fit with our clientele. Acceptance does not guarantee a sale. Send clear photographs, dimensions, medium, artist details, condition, provenance, and your asking expectations to info@newportbrushstrokes.com.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, where practical and legally permitted. Shipping, insurance, customs, duties, brokerage, permits, and delivery arrangements depend on the destination and artwork. Contact us for a quotation before purchase when these costs are not already shown.

How is artwork packed?

The method depends on size, medium, framing, value, and destination. Options may include protective wrapping, reinforced cartons, custom crates, specialist art handlers, or white-glove delivery.

What happens if a shipment is damaged?

Keep all packaging and notify us promptly, preferably within 48 hours. Send photographs of the exterior, labels, internal packing, damage, and complete artwork so that we can assess the issue and begin any carrier or insurance process.

Can I return an artwork?

Eligibility depends on the item and transaction. Commissioned, custom, altered, specially framed, made-to-order, and final-sale works are generally not returnable except where required by law or where a verified problem exists. Review our Refund and Return Policy and contact us before sending anything back.

Can I arrange a private consultation?

Yes. Telephone 1-888-383-4858 or email info@newportbrushstrokes.com to arrange a conversation or appointment.
