Shipping Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
Newport Brushstrokes Fine Art Inc. arranges shipping with the care appropriate for fine art. Shipping methods, timing, packaging, insurance, and cost vary according to the artwork's dimensions, value, medium, framing, destination, and handling requirements.
Order preparation
Before dispatch, payment and delivery details must be confirmed. Artwork may require condition review, custom packing, crating, framing preparation, documentation, or coordination with an artist, consignor, warehouse, or specialist carrier.
Estimated processing and delivery
Available works are normally prepared for dispatch after payment clearance and completion of required checks. Prints and standard-size works may ship sooner than originals, oversized pieces, framed works, commissions, or items located with third parties. Any estimate provided is not a guaranteed delivery date unless confirmed in writing as a specific service commitment.
Shipping methods
Depending on the work and destination, we may use tracked parcel services, art-handling specialists, freight carriers, white-glove delivery, or local collection by appointment. The safest reasonable method will be selected in consultation with the buyer where necessary.
Tracking and delivery
Tracking information will be provided when available. High-value deliveries may require a signature, identification, scheduled appointment, or direct handover. Buyers are responsible for providing a complete and secure delivery address and for ensuring an authorized person is available to accept the shipment.
Insurance
Insurance or declared-value coverage may be included, quoted separately, limited by carrier terms, or unavailable for certain destinations or categories of art. Coverage details should be confirmed before shipment. Claims require prompt notice and full cooperation, including photographs and preservation of all packaging.
Shipping charges
Unless expressly included in the listed price or invoice, packing, crating, shipping, insurance, handling, duties, taxes, brokerage, storage, and special-delivery charges are the buyer's responsibility.
International shipping
International buyers are responsible for import duties, taxes, brokerage fees, permits, and customs requirements imposed by the destination country. Customs processing can delay delivery. We cannot declare an inaccurate value or describe a commercial purchase as a gift.
Restricted destinations and special permits
Some artworks, materials, cultural objects, or high-value shipments may be subject to export, import, wildlife-material, sanctions, or cultural-property restrictions. We may decline or delay shipment until required documentation is available.
Damage or loss
Inspect deliveries promptly. If damage, shortage, or tampering is visible, note it with the carrier before accepting where possible. Contact us promptly, preferably within 48 hours, and retain the artwork, crate, box, labels, and all internal packaging until the claim is resolved.
Incorrect or undeliverable addresses
Additional charges caused by an incorrect address, refused delivery, missed appointments, storage, customs non-payment, or unsuccessful delivery may be charged to the buyer.
Local pickup
Collection is available only when agreed in writing and by appointment. Identification and proof of authorization may be required.
