Grief, an emotion that many of us have felt, especially when we lose a loved one. A range of emotions is felt during the grieving period.  We mourn them, but we also honour them by celebrating their life. Family and friends gather at a funeral or a memorial to pay their respects.

Some of us also may look at photo albums or go down memory lane. Being surrounded by family and friends to comfort one another is helpful. It’s important to be there for each other in this difficult time.

The grieving process takes time. People deal with grieve in different ways. It can feel as though time stands still and nothing makes sense. That’s how I felt when I lost people dear to me. Words can’t express the pain and heartache one feels. With time, we learn to come to terms with a loved one’s passing.The memories will be cherished forever. Although they are no longer with us physically, they are with us in spirit.

My heart goes out to those who have lost loved ones. My sincerest sympathies.
