Montreal is celebrating its 375th anniversary. It’s a city rich with history and culture. Montreal was founded in 1642 by Paul de Chomedey de Maisonneuve. Historic sites include The Notre-Dame Basilica and The Saint Joseph Oratory. Montreal has beautiful landscape, including places like Mount-Royal. The old port is another amazing place that’s historic and has incredible architecture. I recommend taking a walk in these breathtaking areas.

I’m a Montrealer and proud of it too!  Last year, I did a one-day staycation and explored my city. I rediscovered my hometown and realized how much I really love this city. I attended an exhibit about Pompeii at the Fine Arts Museum, visited the old port, check out the Place Des Arts Square where Just for Laughs festival takes place. I took pictures of landmarks and some sculptures are displayed outside  in various areas of downtown. The culture is a significant part of Montreal. You can see museums, go to festivals, etc.

Whether you’re from Montreal or coming for a visit, there’s so much to do and see in this amazing city. If you have pictures of your time in Montreal that you really love, send them to us. We would be more than happy to have them converted into a one-of-a-kind oil painting.

Enjoy Montreal 375!
